Convert a Word document to PDF
Open your .docx file, check how it looks, and save it as a PDF. The conversion happens in your browser using your device's print-to-PDF.
How it works
- Choose your .docx file.
- Review it, and make any last edits.
- Choose Print / Save as PDF, and pick Save as PDF as the destination.
What you get
PDF output from print keeps text selectable and searchable.
Choose paper size and margins in the editor.
Your file is not uploaded.
How the PDF is made
WorkFlo renders your document and hands it to your browser's print dialog, where you choose Save as PDF. Because the browser creates the PDF, results are consistent with what you see on screen.
Layout may differ from the original Word rendering, particularly for documents with complex tables, text boxes or unusual fonts. Preview before sending.
When to use a desktop app instead
For print-ready output with exact pagination, embedded fonts or accessibility tagging, export from the app that created the file.
Limitations
We would rather you know before you start. These are the things this tool does not do or may not preserve:
- Page breaks may differ from the original.
- Header and footer text is best-effort in Print / PDF and may be missing on the first or last page. Page numbers are not drawn in Print / PDF; use your browser's print-dialog headers and footers option.
- Fonts not on your device are substituted.
Questions
