Merge PDF files into one document

Drop two or more PDFs, arrange them in the order you want, and download a single combined file. The merge happens inside your browser, so contracts, invoices and scans are never sent to a server.

Page sizes, text and images are copied as they are. Nothing is re-rendered, which means the merged file keeps the sharpness and selectable text of the originals.

How to merge PDF in 3 steps

  1. Add your PDF files. You can drop them all at once or add more later.
  2. Use the arrows to put the files in the order you need.
  3. Press Merge PDFs and download the result.

When merging helps

Merging is the quickest way to send one attachment instead of five: a job application with a CV, cover letter and references, a tenancy pack with ID and proof of income, or a month of receipts for an expense claim.

It is also useful before printing. A single file prints in one job and keeps page order intact, so nothing gets shuffled between documents.

Things to know

Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged until they are unlocked. If a file is protected, remove the password with the Unlock PDF tool first, then merge.

Bookmarks and form fields from the source files are not guaranteed to survive a merge. Page content always does.

Private by design

Merge PDF runs as code inside your browser tab. The file you choose is read from your device and the result is built on your device, so it is not sent to our servers or anyone else's. You can confirm this by watching the Network tab in your browser's developer tools while you use the tool.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a limit on how many files I can merge?

There is no fixed count. The practical limit is your device memory: very large files or hundreds of pages at once can slow down or stop a mobile browser. Merge in batches if that happens.

Does merging reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied without being re-rendered, so text stays sharp and selectable.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The work is done by code running in your own browser tab, and your files never leave your device.

Can I merge PDFs with images or Word files?

Convert them to PDF first: use JPG to PDF for images, and for Word files open them in the WorkFlo Word editor and use Print / PDF. Then merge everything together.
