Where your files are processed and stored

In your browser. When you create, open or edit a document, spreadsheet or presentation, the file is read and processed by code running in your browser. The contents of your files are not uploaded to our servers, and we do not receive them. The PDF tools (merge, split, compress, convert, edit, sign, protect and unlock) work the same way: the PDF, any images and any passwords you type are handled inside your browser tab and are never sent to us.

Local drafts. To protect your work, the editors save a draft copy in your browser's own storage (IndexedDB and localStorage) on your device. This copy is only available to you on that browser. You can delete it by using the "Clear saved draft" option or by clearing the site's data in your browser settings.

No server-side conversion. WorkFlo does not run server-side document conversion. If this changes, this policy will be updated before the change goes live.

What we collect

  • Essential: a small record in your browser of your cookie choices. This is stored on your device.
  • Analytics (only if you allow it): Google Analytics 4 receives page views and events such as "editor opened", "file opened" and "file downloaded", with the app name, file type and a coarse size bucket. For the PDF tools we record only which tool finished. We also record page-load timing (largest contentful paint and layout shift) and short browser error messages, with the page path, so we can fix problems. We never send file names or file contents. IP anonymisation is enabled and advertising features are turned off in analytics.
  • Advertising (only if you allow it): advertising partners such as Google AdSense may set cookies or use device identifiers to show and measure ads. Ads appear only outside the editing workspace and the PDF tool area.
  • Server logs: our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (IP address, user agent, URL, time) for security and operations for [RETENTION PERIOD].

Your choices

You can change your analytics and advertising choices at any time using "Cookie and ad choices" in the page footer. If you choose "Essential only", no analytics or advertising scripts are loaded.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not hold your documents and we do not have accounts, most of your data is on your own device. For requests about data we do hold, contact privacy@workflosuite.com.

Children

WorkFlo is not directed at children under [13/16]. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Files you open are parsed inside your browser. We use security headers and avoid loading third-party scripts until you consent. No system is perfectly secure.

International transfers
