Formulas that behave as you expect

Type = in a cell and start a formula. Ranges, absolute references and cross-sheet references work the way they do in other spreadsheet tools.

Function names and results follow the usual spreadsheet conventions. A small number of rarely used functions differ or are unavailable.

Good uses

Budgets, trackers, simple models, data cleanup, quick calculations and sharing a table as CSV.

Limitations

We would rather you know before you start. These are the things this tool does not do or may not preserve:

  • Pivot tables, macros (VBA), external data connections and some advanced chart types are not supported.
  • Imported charts, images and conditional formats may be dropped; imported data, formulas and common cell formatting are kept.
  • Very large sheets (hundreds of thousands of rows) will be slow in any browser.

Questions

Can I use it offline?

The editor needs to load once. After that, local autosave keeps your work in the browser, but we do not guarantee full offline use.

Is my data uploaded?

No. Spreadsheet files are read and calculated in your browser.

Does it support macros?

No. Macro-enabled files (.xlsm) are not supported.
