Sign a PDF online

Draw your signature with a mouse, finger or stylus, or type your name in a script style, then click where it belongs on the page. You can add the date or other text too.

This places an image of your signature, which is what most everyday forms, letters and agreements need. It is not a certificate-based digital signature.

How to sign PDF in 3 steps

  2. Create your signature, then click on the page to place it.
  3. Press Apply signature and download the signed PDF.

Is an image signature acceptable?

For many everyday documents an electronic signature, including a drawn one, is accepted, but rules differ by country and document type. Some contracts, government forms and regulated documents require a specific signing process or certificate. Check with the recipient if in doubt.

Keeping your signature private

Your signature is drawn and kept in your browser memory only for the current session. It is not uploaded or stored, and it disappears when you close the page.

Private by design

Sign PDF runs as code inside your browser tab. The file you choose is read from your device and the result is built on your device, so it is not sent to our servers or anyone else's. You can confirm this by watching the Network tab in your browser's developer tools while you use the tool.
