How to Extract Pages From a PDF Into a New File
Pull out one page, a range or scattered pages from a PDF and save them as a new document.
Sometimes you need only part of a long PDF: one signed page, an invoice from a combined statement, or chapter three of a report. Extracting leaves the original untouched and gives you a new, smaller file.
Steps
- Open Extract PDF pages and choose your file.
- Click the page thumbnails you want, or type ranges such as 2-4, 9.
- Download the new PDF.
Extract, split or delete?
- Extract keeps only what you pick. Use it when you want a few pages out of many.
- Split PDF cuts a file into several pieces. Use it when you need every part.
- Delete PDF pages removes what you do not want. Use it when you want almost everything.
They can give the same result. Choose the one where you click the fewest pages.
Keep the order you want
Pages come out in document order. If you need them in a different order, run the result through a page-reordering step afterwards.
Check before sending
If the pages came from a bundle, confirm the new file does not contain details from other people, such as a name or account number printed in a header or footer.
Privacy
The pages are extracted in your browser. The file is never uploaded.
