Extract pages from a PDF

Keep only the pages you need. Select them on the thumbnails or type a range like 3-5, 9 and save them as a new PDF, in the order you listed them.

How to extract PDF Pages in 3 steps

  1. Choose your PDF and wait for the page thumbnails.
  2. Click the pages to keep, or type a range.
  3. Press Extract pages and download the new PDF.

Extract versus split

Extract gives you one new file containing the pages you chose. Split cuts the whole document into several files. If you want the middle chapter of a report as its own PDF, extract it. If you want every chapter separately, split.

Reordering while extracting

Pages come out in the order you type them, so "5, 1-2" puts page 5 first. That makes extract a quick way to reorder a few pages without opening a full editor.

Private by design

Extract PDF Pages runs as code inside your browser tab. The file you choose is read from your device and the result is built on your device, so it is not sent to our servers or anyone else's. You can confirm this by watching the Network tab in your browser's developer tools while you use the tool.

Frequently asked questions

Does extraction change the original?

No. A new file is created and the original stays as it was.

Can I extract non-consecutive pages?

Yes. Use commas, for example 1, 4, 9-10.
