How to Remove Pages from a PDF

Delete blank pages, cover sheets or sensitive pages from a PDF, and why deleting is safer than covering.

Taking pages out of a PDF is a common clean-up job.

Steps

  • Open Delete PDF pages.
  • Wait for the thumbnails, then click each page to remove or type a range.
  • Save the new PDF.

Typical reasons

  • Blank pages from a duplex scanner
  • A fax cover sheet
  • Pages with personal data you do not want to share

Delete, do not cover

Drawing a black box over sensitive text often leaves the text itself in the file, where it can still be copied. Removing the page removes the content.

Keeping the rest, not removing

If you want only a few pages from a long file, it is quicker to use Extract PDF pages and select what to keep.

Your original stays intact

The tool produces a new file. Keep the original until you have checked the result.
