How to Rearrange Pages in a PDF
Reorder PDF pages by dragging thumbnails, fix a scan fed in the wrong order, and save a new file.
A PDF is not locked into the order it was made in. Scans that came out in the wrong order, a cover page that landed at the end, or a chapter you want to move are all quick fixes.
Steps
- Open Reorder PDF pages and choose your file.
- Drag the page thumbnails into the order you want, or use the arrow buttons for small moves.
- Download the new PDF.
Common cases
- Double-sided scan, front pages then back pages: reverse the back half, then interleave if your scanner did not. Do this in small groups so you do not lose your place.
- Cover or title page at the end: drag it to the front.
- An appendix that should come earlier: move the block, then check page numbers.
Tidy at the same time
- Remove blank or duplicate pages with Delete PDF pages.
- Fix pages that appear sideways with Rotate PDF.
Page numbers
Numbers that were printed on the pages move with the pages. If they no longer run in sequence, the cleanest fix is to export from the source document again. Otherwise, you can add fresh numbers after reordering.
Privacy
Pages are reordered in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
